Forty years after the tragic passing of James Darroch, Grown Up Wrong! honours his legacy with a long-awaited reissue of The Eastern Dark's classic 1985 single. Limited to just 700 units on yellow vinyl.

Darroch's blazing guitar, Bill Gibson's melodic bass and harmonies, and Geoff Milne's driving rhythm section set Sydney's Radio Birdman-influenced scene alight in 1984, quickly building an international following that extended from Boston to Tokyo.

The Eastern Dark were a Sydney-based punk rock trio active in the mid-1980s, fronted by singer, songwriter, and guitarist James Darroch. Heavily shaped by the Ramones and the energy of hyper-melodic rock, the band's life was cut tragically short when Darroch was killed in a road accident at just 25 years old, hours after completing their mini-LP Long Live the New Flesh.
