Erupting through the streets of Hobart comes the loudest band in Tasmania, delivering a fuzz-drenched, speaker-cranking debut rooted firmly in the blues and rock of the early 60s and 70s. What began as a solo project from frontman Jude Hastings has evolved into a full-throttle live force, trading jangly chords and synths for thumping rhythms and amplified psychedelic riffs.
Joined by childhood friend Jaxon Bassett on drums and Piper Rayner on bass, the trio bring real chemistry to this self-titled debut, including a blistering cover of The Count Five's Psychotic Reaction as the lead single.
Formed in Launceston, Tasmania, Spooky Eyes are a three-piece psychedelic and acid-rock band quickly becoming a staple of the Australian live music scene, known for their high-energy, amplified blues-rock sound.
