The Prize - In The Red LP Vinyl Record
Turn it up with In The Red, the long-awaited debut album from Melbourne’s power pop torchbearers The Prize. Known for their electrifying live shows and three-guitar frontline, the band brings a full dose of rock’n’roll energy, melodic twin leads, and soaring vocal harmonies.
Recorded across sessions with Paul Maybury (Rocket Science), Matt Blach (The Murlocs), and Robin Mukerjee (TV Colours), the album brims with grit and hooks. Singles “First Sight,” “Had It Made,” and “From The Night” showcase their knack for blending punk urgency with classic rock swagger and power pop precision.
Formed in 2021, The Prize features drummer Nadine Muller and guitarist Carey Paterson on lead vocals, joined by Joseph Imfeld, Austin Haire, and bassist Ethan Stahl (ex–Chubby and the Gang). Citing influences from Thin Lizzy and Cheap Trick to Blondie and The Nerves, they’ve quickly earned a global following, touring with King Gizzard and The Chats. Fans of those bands and of timeless rock with heart will want this debut in their collection.
If you love Loose Lips, Blondie, and Thin Lizzy, you’ll love The Prize’s In The Red.
